Rooftop review roundup: What a pool… everything I hoped for. It is smaller than it seems on the photos but no less fabulous and plenty of space for that all important staring into the views ahead whilst sipping on some Prosecco. Two things to note. One children are allowed as it’s a Hilton, it felt very much like an adult vibe so in height of summer I would struggle with the squeals equally I have lots of parent friends who would love the opportunity to have both their couple life and somewhere suitable for kids. Secondly the space is limited.. and there’s no rushing to get your towels out at stupid o’clock and leaving them there and then cheekily appear 5 hours later, no this is a fair but tricky system. Doors open at 9am and I mean on the dot. The super bean tanners are there ready and waiting as space is limited. There are approx 12-15 loungers on the deck overlooking the pool – the prime spot. Then either side are a variety of sofas and deck chairs (also double up for the bar at night). All have umbrellas for shade – weirdly hardly anyone used them. Once assigned your spot on a first come first served basis then you can bask there till 6pm. There are buttons to call for Prosecco and pizza and no restrictions on numbers in the pool. 9am is the best time as hardly anyone is actually in the water yet and very still and quiet.
If you arrive much later than 9.45 you may miss out on anywhere to sit and have the option of going on a waiting list as the sun moves so do the sun worshipers so more availability later on. So if you want a pool day don’t have that lie in …. you can sleep on your fabulously placed sun lounger instead!

Rooftop review roundup: I separated out the pool and resturant even though they overlap as they are two different experiences. The staff, the food the views are pinch me now moments. Especially as I never thought in 2020 I’d get away let alone somewhere so perfect. The photos say it all but I can’t fault it and how accommodating and kind everyone was. Top tip…. for some insta fun order the scallops to start and the strawberries for pudding.

Rooftop review roundup: A gorgeous little terrace with amazing views, friendly staff and great wine! It states that it’s for hotel guests but when we were there they said it opens in the evening for sunset drinks, music and welcome to all.
