Cantor Rooftop Garden Bar

Vibe: Chilled, more a pop up and have a drink while visiting the museum so a complete mish mash of people
Prosecco price: (just by the glass) πΎπΎ
Food available? Snacks – yes
Booking available? No – not tables more for standing

Warm/dry weather only? Yes
Rooftop review: Aside the fact the Met is a must to see some amazing exhibitions the bonus is treating yourself to a pit stop with these views. It was ridiculously hot the day I went so no one was out on the terrace (all taking rest in the shade) but I imagine when it’s less intense heat the roof would be full – like a daytime cocktail party but in any attire! There’s a few benches but this felt very much like a quick stop (no bottles sold) rather than destination. Though fully worth it for view though they now have introduced a charge which considering it gains you entry to the museum is fair.

Warm/dry weather only? It’s says it’s a summer venue but it had rained prior to my visit and was fine!
Rooftop review roundup: Garden view, shared tables for dinner in the main area which is waiter service. The bar area is cute wooden tables for private quieter chats – self service. Fun and vibrant and part of a very arty venue. Two pointers would be – being british I got bitten alive as was super summer humid and just rained! π€¦ββοΈ And we booked but my friend was running late and despite the booking still had to queue to gain entry – which I understand is a NYC thing.

Terrace has covered areas – my first night it tipped it down and we were ok – not ideal in full on rain but not a disaster!
Rooftop review roundup: Last visit my first night was made special being on a rooftop seeing the iconic Empire State Building and this did the same job. More chilled than the Monarch but still the pinch me I’m here moment! The largest rooftop in NYC – accommodates 1000 people. Imagine in the day would be great BBQ vibe in the summer.
