Enter ‘Azura’ a last minute, 2021 entry to the rooftop bar scene! This rooftop bar is a part of the newest restaurant to hit London, just in time for the Christmas festivities and much needed for the Camden rooftop scene! Azura means blue sky this rooftop bar is set to transport us to the Aegean sea.
With cocktails as their speciality sparking our imaginations like this one the, ‘Aegean Sunset’. Coupled with meze food based on Greek and Turkey cuisine…. we are happily holidaying at home.
The rooftop boasts a charmingly snug space equipped with heaters and oversized umbrellas, promising to be a social hotspot come summer and a cozy winter retreat for now. Currently serving as a designated smoking area due to its enclosed main venue, this rooftop offers versatility. Situated adjacent to the main restaurant downstairs, it extends seamlessly upstairs, creating an expansive dining experience alongside the rooftop terrace.
The bar downstairs exudes sheer opulence and offers the perfect spot to perch or ‘puurrrch’ at. Their logo and motto is about protection using the Bastet cat – and of course there’s also a cat cocktail I had to have… made with the summer spirit of rum!
The only thing missing is the actual warmth of Aegean sun but the attentive staff more than compensate for it. I can already envision that by springtime, this place will transform into the perfect substitute for a summer getaway.
