The Best Rooftop Bars for views of the Empire State Building

The best rooftop bars for views of the Empire State Building: There is nothing that quite says you are in New York City more than its iconic skyline. Taking centre stage, is the impressive Empire State Building. Built in 1930-1931 this architectural marvel truly symbolises that you have arrived in the city of dreams. It offers breath-taking views of the city skyline itself but with its towering presence and stunning art deco design, what better way to enjoy those skyline views than from a rooftop bar?

My most recommended experience in New York is to book a rooftop bar for your first evening. Especially if you are a first timer but I’d advise doing this every visit – it never fails to take your breath away and say I’m actually here. Going one step further I would even book a hotel with a rooftop bar then you can just pop up after unpacking for the perfect pre dinner drink! There is something epic about the Empire State Building at night. I usually prefer rooftop bars during the day as they often give better views. But seeing this magnificent building beaming down on you at night is memorizing.

The city is filled with quirky, boujee and brilliant rooftop bars – you are spoilt for choice. I have collated those rooftop bars that offer the best views of the Empire State building – as not all do. From party places to hidden gems, these rooftop bars will not only be a fabulous night out in their own right but also provide you with a front-row seat to one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. So, take your pick and ensure you book - allowing time for immigration queues and requesting their best table for the view. Then when you land get ready to grab a cocktail and prepare to be in awe of the Empire State Building towering over you telling you in no uncertain terms – you have landed in the big apple.
