The Albania Rivera home to viral beach clubs and the dazzling turquoise ocean but this corner of the world also boasts some spectacular rooftop bars and restaurants. From stunning sea views in Sardana to rooftop clubs in Ksamil. The party just got started in South Albania and these beauties should not be missed. To note that many do not have websites and no one replies to DM’s on Instagram so I found booking impossible and had to just turn up, unless I wanted to call internationally as they all operate on phones! How very 1999 – and they party like it too!

Step into a Tiki style bar where cocktails are their speciality. Not to be confused with a beach bar called ‘Cocktails and Dreams’ as that the motto this rooftop bar goes by. And it is something of rooftop dreams – one of the best rooftop bars in the area.

Rooftop review roundup: Set away from the main promenade in Sarande this rooftop gem offers a stunning sunset on a relaxed rooftop lounge. There are neon signs. angel wings and some spectacular cocktails (the Barbie cocktail was amazing if you like sweet cocktails). It does feel there is almost too much going on with the décor compared to the simplicity of the sunset but if you are looking for a low key drink or dinner then this rooftop is for you.

Rooftop review roundup: Even though this little rooftop has it’s hat on I am including it as it was the first cocktail bar in Saranda in 2009. Which shows how fast this area is growing! It is a good perch place for a pit stop and with the cover means it is in the shade. Cocktails were good, atmosphere lacking but a good little bar nonetheless.

Rooftop review roundup: Open to the public from 6pm this was a rooftop bar I was excited to try. The views looked sensational and the escapism vibe everything I love in a rooftop – especially one abroad! Both those things were absolutely true however the whole hotel has a slightly strange feeling. I had looked to stay here but the reviews had put me off and I knew I could still visit the bar for sunset. And that is stunning for sure. But when I ordered a glass of prosecco I was told I had to have a bottle or I could have an Aperol spritz, I was confused. I even asked if I could have an Aperol without the soda or Aperol aka a prosecco. Computer says no! Press for paradise they say, just not prosecco! That said for the views its worth visiting for a stunning sunset drink.

Famed for a swing in the sea (that had a constant queue) I chose this rooftop restaurant for the for my birthday dinner and the sunset did not let me down! Nor did the service. I had read about the food and whilst it was not the best meal I have had it was good enough for me on my birthday!

Rooftop review roundup: A rooftop nightclub is one of my favourite types of rooftops, especially when the weather is 38 degrees and its my birthday! I popped by in the day and due to the heat was dead but I knew this is where I wanted to end up for dancing and it was everything I hoped. You can also come for sunset drinks and dinner but I chose cocktails and dancing and I would recommend it for any age who love to party!

Rooftop review roundup: If you are looking for wow views of the Albania countryside then you need to visit this resort. Technically not a rooftop but on a cliff top but I am totally counting as one! I booked lunch and didn’t need to, it was so quiet but that also meant we were able to utilise their stunning rooftop pool and drink some of the best cocktails. Highly recommend a day here if you are visiting this area or pop by for a Pina Colada!
