Ravishing Rhodes which has a hidden village just full of rooftop bars and restaurants. I found most of the rooftop bars and restaurants opened late afternoon/ early evening mainly due to the heat during the day and most didn’t respond to email for bookings. That said they did respond on Instagram DMs or calling but I found most places you didn’t need to book. This island is a total gem for those needing to elevate their holidays!

Rooftop review roundup: Gorgeous little spot with a welcomed breeze from the heat. A mix of shady areas and sun soaked seats. Cheap cocktails and a fun vibe with a mix of seating areas from tables to beds to eggs! And a Charlie and a chocolate elevator for your entrance.

Rooftop review roundup: From the highest point in Rhodes two enjoy beautiful views across Rhodes city right to the castle. A very, very causal little rooftop bar with one very hard working guy when I went.. Seats in the shade or the sun, comfy chairs and a welcomed breeze. Limited wine menu but plenty of cocktails or ice cream for the kids as all are welcome.

Lindos Town
This ‘village’ was literally littered with rooftop restaurants – I actually found it overwhelming researching which ones I’d go to. Some seemed better for food, some views, some service and some for shade. My advise if you are staying here is go and check them out as there were different to what I expected. Below are the four I chose for very different reasons.

Rooftop review roundup: I was touted on the street to go up and as it was named after the town I had high hopes. I was disappointed. It felt rushed and more about customers in than keeping them with good service and limited wine menu by the glass. However amazing views but with so much choice I probably wouldn’t recommend this one.

Rooftop review roundup: One of the few rooftop bars I had actually booked as loved the name! Ironically when I got there I’d had a bit too much sun and needed a cocktail to settle my stomach so no bubbles sadly! The bartender was so thoughtful in making me a bespoke drink, the host was also so helpful and friendly, the décor was really kitsch and quirky and the view insane. Definitely a different rooftop to many of the others in Lindos so make sure you visit for some variety.

Rooftop review roundup: My favourite rooftop restaurant in Lindos! I hadn’t booked but it was on the list. I popped up in the afternoon and new instantly this was where I wanted to spend my birthday dinner. A large rooftop terrace with different levels and areas. I chose the table that looked out over all of white washed Lindos and it’s rooftops. But there were also some beautifully set tables by a little pool just under the Acropolis which towers above. It was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff as well as the amazing food that made it so magical. If you are in Lindos don’t miss this gorgeous Greek rooftop.

Kallithea
Set near Falariki I was a little concerned at my hotel location choice in Kallithea, not being in my teens or twenties anymore. I shouldn’t have worried. This hotel and it’s rooftop were stunning even if the mossies’ got me good! More on staying here with it’s stunning pool and tranquil restaurant.

Rooftop review roundup: This is one of several restaurants at this hotel where I stayed. Breakfast is served here (and at another restaurant depending on how full they are). We were able to request this one as why would I not want to rooftop at the start of the day! Obviously if you weren’t staying you wouldn’t come for breakfast but I’ve included as you can also dine here and the views are amazing and different to the other rooftops I had rooftoped round! Special note to the staff – so kind and made sure I had cake and bubbles for breakfast on my birthday.
