20 Best Rooftop Bars & Restaurants In Dubai

Discover Dubai’s best rooftop bars and restaurants. From boozy brunches to spectacular views, Dubai really does rooftops to the next level! It had been several years since my last visit, and I knew these rooftop bars were going to be a cut above and they were beyond even my imagination!

Dubai rooftops bars also come with some rules and tips that differ from most I’ve been to. From the best time of year to visit, to the legal drinking age (21), to the very different locations on offer, it pays to know before you go. Read more for my full guide on how to really enjoy these rooftops. And while the bars are incredible, it’s the rooftop pools that really steal the show so grab your swimmers and head over to read about them too.

Best Rooftop Bars and Restaurants on the Palm Jumeirah

Rooftop Bars and Restaurants on the Palm are my favorite rooftop area. You can stroll from the beach or board walk to a rooftop bar in minutes!. There just needs to be a few more as I do love to rooftop hop around!

Rooftop review roundup: The Penthouse at FIVE Palm Jumeirah is one of the most wellknown rooftop bars in Dubai, famous for its legendary parties, top DJs, and iconic setting at FIVE Palm. This is a hotspot attracted by celebrities and influencers alike. However, on some nights, and especially before sunset, you’ll find a much calmer vibe as I did, making it the perfect perch for a sunset drink with exceptional views across the marina.

Rooftop review roundup: Sobe is a stunning rooftop bar and restaurant located on left side of Jumeirah Palm, so it’s more of a destination than a casual pop-in spot. I went at the start of their Ladies’ Night, which offered three hours of unlimited drinks and 50% off food for just 120 AED. Who wouldn’t want to go then?! It was fairly quiet when we arrived, which was actually ideal as we were ready for a good ol’ catch-up. It may have livened up later (I’ve certainly heard the weekends are buzzing!) but I was more than happy hogging and swinging on their Insta-worthy chair and soaking up the vibes. The interior is also gorgeous – so when the summer heat hits, you’re still sorted with air con. If you’re a fan of the W Hotel brand, this one’s definitely for you.

Rooftop review roundup: I came to Above Eleven rooftop bar for sunset cocktails, and it was definitely above an eleven! The view, the vibe, and the pisco sours were spectacular. I got chatting to the staff and learned about their Let’s Get Pisco’d After Party Brunch every Saturday, it starts at 4 p.m. and rolls right into the night! I was gutted I already had a booking for my only Saturday in Dubai, but they kindly invited me back for a complimentary dinner once they discovered my rooftop dedication. But to be clear all views here are my own, no pun intended! 😉

Dinner was a feast: tender meat, mountains of sushi, and a dessert of dreams. Service was a little wobbly at times, but it was busy and the team was friendly throughout. If you’re dining from the full menu, note that the restaurant sits at the back, but I preferred the bar area for a more relaxed and lively vibe, so make sure to request that when booking. It’s one of those rare rooftops you can visit solo and still feel completely at home, without any awkward over-attention. I could quite happily make it my local if I lived in Dubai!

Rooftop review roundup: Buddha-Bar, best known for its opulent energy but Barfly felt a little different, even though this is Dubai. I went at sunset and was delighted to enjoy discounted drinks thanks to their sunset promotion. The vibrant greens and red seating made the colours of the sunset pop, and the open rooftop perfectly framed that stunning Dubai skyline. In the height of summer, it can also be closed and air-conditioned, so it’s one to enjoy year-round.

Best Rooftop Bars and Restaurants Downtown Dubai

Downtown Dubai with its iconic skyline and views of the tallest building in the world. This was though my least favorite area to rooftop. It reminded me of LA and Brisbane where you can’t easily or certainly enjoyably rooftop hop! However to stay at a hotel with one of these rooftops or as a destination for dinner or partying then they are sensational.

Rooftop review roundup: I loved the look of Lolita Rooftop Bar in Dubai — it has a completely different personality from many of the other Dubai rooftop bars I’d been researching. Bright, colourful, and full of Instagram-worthy props, it’s perfect for fun photos with a skyline backdrop. It isn’t as high up as some of Dubai’s rooftops, and with fierce competition, it was surprisingly quiet when I visited. To be fair, it was a weekday, and most hotel guests were lounging around the pool. I originally popped in for a drink, but when the staff offered the menu, I happily said yes. It was an ideal spot for a relaxed rooftop break and some refueling with drinks and bites. With its playful vibe, Lolita Rooftop Dubai would also make a brilliant choice for a private event or hen party.

Rooftop review roundup: Popping with red flowers against the grey city skyline, Poli rooftop restaurant is ideal for a taste of Greece in a romantic setting. This is predominantly a restaurant, but it’s well worth stopping in for a ‘Greek Martini’ or ‘Santorini Sunset’ with a snack. Though this isn’t a casual taverna, it’s a fabulously fancy slice of Greece!

Rooftop review roundup: What I like about this restaurant is the clarity when booking – you can actually choose where you’ll be seated rather than relying on notes or hoping for an outdoor table. The Sky Bar can be booked specifically for ‘golden hour,’ or you can opt for the terrace if you plan to stay on for dinner. Serving sushi and sake, it’s a great sunset spot for soaking in that spectacular skyline.

Rooftop review roundup: If you’re looking for exclusivity in a city that has already raised the rooftop standard, then High Society at The Lana is for you. With exquisite views and flawless service, this rooftop truly feels opulent. Just sitting soaking in the skyline feels special. Prices and minimum spends are steep, but that’s expected from a Dorchester Collection venue. You’d pay a similar amount for their London seasonal rooftop with views over Hyde Park but honestly, those views don’t come close to this so if you going to spend then do it here! Just wow.

Rooftop review roundup: I chanced Privilege rooftop as a walk-in for sunset, and what luck -it turned into one of those movie-moment evenings. Perched above the clouds, I watched the sun drop as the skyline slowly lit up around me. Hard to believe I was just sitting there with a piña colada in a coconut on a random Thursday, soaking it all in. Stop by for a sunset drink, book in for dinner, or come back for a pool-day pass, at one of the highest rooftops in Dubai, and the views prove it.

Rooftop review roundup: The red, vibrant, Instagram famous rooftop bar and restaurant downtown, the one with that swing that rivals the Athens one had me so excited! I’m a sucker for a rooftop swing moment and this spot has the view to match! But… as a walk in, I didn’t quite get the warm welcome I’d had everywhere else. Most of the outside tables were marked as reserved (even though they stayed empty the whole time I was there), so I couldn’t settle in and soak up the view the way I’d hoped. Such a shame because the rooftop itself is a stunner. So don’t make my mistake – definitely book!

Warm/dry weather only? No – the restaurant/ bar was covered

Rooftop review roundup: Paros Rooftop in Dubai’s JLT is a little off the obvious tourist trail, especially when everyone on the Marina has rooftop bars on their doorstep. But if you fancy a quick escape to Greece – white walls, coastal energy, and that a touch of the med, it’s worth jumping in a taxi. I came over from the Marina for a lunch date and immediately relaxed into the slower, sunnier vibe. And, after visiting the actual island of Paros in Greece last summer, I had high expectations… so I ordered the Greek salad to see how they stood up and happily approved. Nothing quite like a greek salad, rose in the sunshine on a rooftop! The only tring missing is the ocean. I was visiting in March and it’s already changed and had a rooftop refresh for winter 2025. If you are looking for the pretty pink swing then sadly it has gone, but there’s a new, bigger floral moment for your instagram! Looks like I now have to return for another long lunch. Strictly for research!

Rooftop review roundup: Perched at the top of the Palm, View 180 Rooftop Bar lives up to its name and then some. The views across the beach and down to the Marina are nothing short of spectacular. I popped in for a Friday night drink, expecting a crazy busy crowds, but it was surprisingly calm, just hotel guests soaking up the night skyline in peace. Open for lunch, dinner or just drinks even if you’re not staying at the hotel, but the pool is strictly for guests, making it an exclusive little escape above the city staying here.

Rooftop review roundup: There are very few rooftop restaurants in the world that can leave me genuinely in awe, and this was definitely one of them. I was already wowed by the view after a morning of posing in the pool, but the restaurant gave us the time to really reflect how amazing it was. Sitting adjacent to the pool, a handful of tables claim prime position overlooking the beaches below. We arrived early and perched right at the edge, peering out at those insane sea views. Simple sushi, salads, crisp rosé, and plenty of shade (come early for that!) we were in absolute lunch heaven. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner or come for sundown – I was gutted not to be staying for sunset because the evening sessions here must be something special. And if you fancy switching up your rooftop routine, they even offer spin sessions with a view. I usually need air con for workouts, but honestly… I could make an exception here. Whether you’re popping in for a drink, settling in for lunch, or trying one of the rooftop fitness sessions, this spot manages to feel chic without being boujee – a rare balance in Dubai’s skyline scene.

Rooftop review roundup: Voted the best bar in Dubai, Paradiso is the second offering from the Barcelona based brand – which was voted best in the world! With the queues the match! So when I discovered they had a rooftop version here – with no queue, well dreams do come true! I visited on a quiet weekday for sunset and, despite the softer atmosphere that comes with being early, the magic was all in the creativity of their exquisite cocktails paired with those dreamy sea views. These aren’t just rooftop cocktails – they’re works of art served at altitude. Each cocktail comes with its own story, theme, and theatrical twist, so you’ll spend more time deciding than drinking. They’re not cheap, of course, but the experience is worth every dirham. Top tip: order the gelato. Hint: it’s not actually ice cream! Fully recommend for cocktail lovers, view chasers, and anyone who appreciates a little rooftop theatre.

Rooftop review roundup: I popped into Pier 7 as I’d been here on a previous trip, but this time found the rooftop surprisingly quiet. The restaurant below was buzzing, yet upstairs it was super chilled, probably because I was a bit early. Still, it meant I could sit back, recharge, and enjoy a light dinner (which was delicious; Dubai standards strike again!). The photos don’t do this place justice. The rooftop is wrapped in stunning astrology murals, fun little Insta moments, and high glass panels for safety without spoiling the view. I can easily imagine it being absolutely buzzing later at night. A calm little pause on high from Marina madness!

Rooftop review roundup: The famed O Beach of Ibiza fame opened its doors in Dubai last year, and unlike its rooftop sibling with sunbeds, Dubai has created a restaurant oasis above the noise below. The space is gorgeously on-brand, decked out in yellow-orange tones with flowers throughout. You wouldn’t even know this was part of the famously wild O Beach – it felt like the grown-up cousin! I could have happily stayed all day, people-watching below and soaking in the atmosphere.

A calm yet fun rooftop escape that manages to capture O Beach’s energy without the chaos.
