Cascais, a gorgeous little town nestled in the Portuguese Rivera, not a town you would associate with rooftop bars but of course I found a few! I went in winter so it wasn’t rooftop weather but I still managed to enjoy a few so here are the 3 best rooftop bars in Cascais, winter edition!

Rooftop review roundup: A perfectly positioned rooftop bar (with a pool for hotel guests). The stunning views stretch for miles, but the real treat is sneaking up for sunrise. Since it was winter, the bar wasn’t operating, but you can grab drinks and bring them up, likely having the place to yourself. A must-see when visiting Cascais

Rooftop review roundup: What a treasure trove at this Cascais rooftop café! The House of Wonders truly lives up to its name. To reach the rooftop, you wind your way up stairs adorned with quotes and artefacts, perfect for those Instagram shots! You’ll arrive at a cute, kitschy, colourful rooftop, but if it’s too hot (in summer) or windy (in winter), there’s a gorgeous garden terrace adjacent to the café with white patio furniture and a matching canopy that gives rooftop vibes as its above the street below. Blankets are supplied but if the sunshine is out then even in winter we were warm! I’m usually not a fan of vegan food, but here, the dishes are laid out so you can see exactly what you want. And I was too bereft that was no meat when there was also wine! Highly recommend this spot for a unique vibe.

Rooftop review roundup: Full disclosure I didn’t actually stay for dinner as this rooftop was too cold and indoor wasn’t my vibe. But wanted to include it in my rooftops for Cascais as I have actually been and so can see in the summer it would be on my list.
