Rooftop review roundup: Sky Bar in Palma is described by its hotel as the jewel in their crown and I completely agree. This compact but perfectly placed rooftop bar opens for breakfast and then again in the evening until late, but be sure to book, especially if you need shade like me! I arrived just as it opened and aside from the reserved tables, had my pick of the shady spots. But by the time our drinks arrived, it had filled up faster than my fizz. It’s the perfect place to start your night in Palma especially for planners!

The rooftop pool is marketed as the centrepiece, but if you aren’t a hotel guest, you won’t have access to that area. You can, however, perch on the rooftop restaurant above the pool, take in the stunning views, enjoy delicious food, and experience brilliantly attentive service.

Rooftop review roundup:This rooftop bar and restaurant is one of the reasons I set up this site. From the website and socials, I had visions of an elegant rooftop where we would be sipping our sangria, but in reality it was much more informal and smaller than expected. Not a negative, just different – ideal for an impromptu dinner rather than the drink we’d originally planned. The views of San Francesc Basilica are almost touchable, offering a fresh perspective compared to other rooftops in Palma. That said, I’d be disappointed if I were a guest – the pool is definitely more of a paddle than a swim. Still, Singular Rooftop makes for a stunning setting, especially at sunset.

Rooftop review roundup: I had visited the previous bar, 49 Steps a few years ago and this new version is definitely an upgrade. It fast could be one of my favourites with incredible cocktails, a light touch Ibiza vibe plus snug areas very much like VIP areas for those also wanting to eat. Highly recommend even if the view isn’t that high up and the toilets are a sweat box!

This small boutique hotel has a gorgeous little terrace, and make sure to spot the stairs – there’s another level with the best views! The staff are polite, friendly, and extremely helpful. Rooftop review roundup: I came after dark to Nakar rooftop bar, so I missed out on the sweeping views and that stunning pool setting you see in all the photos. Still, the iconic buildings around Palma were beautifully lit, giving the rooftop a completely different kind of magic. The atmosphere was lively but still felt intimate so not a party venue. I’d recommend sunset drinks to catch both the golden hour views and the after dark sparkle.

Rooftop review roundupIf you’re looking for one of the best viewpoints in Palma and love modern art, I definitely recommend heading up to the rooftop at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The panoramic views of the city and harbour are stunning, and the museum’s structure makes the perfect frame for some arty photos. The rooftop itself is an empty space, so for drinks you need to head just a floor down. Still, you’ll enjoy great views set amongst sculptures, greenery, and a calming water fountain – my idea of the perfect pause for a coffee, cocktail, or even a glass of Mallorcan wine.

But as for rooftop bar it is open at night for non residents though I found it was very quiet – even on a Saturday night. It’s a perfect bar for guests to have sunset drinks or a nightcap. Rooftop review roundup: Set on top of the Obelisk Hotel but don’t go through the hotel – there’s a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-style elevator on the outside that takes you straight up to the rooftop – an absolute must for the views! Okan Rooftop Restaurant was a gem for a great dinner, friendly staff and stunning sea views. It’s perfect for a romantic evening in Mallorca. Though do ask to be sat closest to the sea as possible as not all tables get the views..

Rooftop review roundup: Katagi Blau Rooftop Bar and Restaurant does not fit the reputation of this area. This is a truly stunning rooftop, with sensational food, and the sunset is something else. It’s more pricey than other rooftop restaurants in the area, but it’s clear why. For non-diners, there’s a small rooftop bar area just for drinks. But if you like sushi and want an amazing dining experience, then I would highly recommend dinner here.

Rooftop review roundup: I had been wanting to go to this rooftop for a few years and it was just as it’s pictured. Magical. It was everything I could have hoped for and more. The only thing I’d change is to have it open for lunch for those coming on a day trip. Cocktails in the the colourful Donkey Bar which then merges with Neni restaurant .. is just heaven. Sandy roof to keep the sun shade with sensational food, fabulous service (thanks Martr!) and the views… I could have stayed forever.
In fact 3 years later I came back for part of my big birthday as I heard breakfast was served at Neni and I couldn’t think of anywhere more special and indeed quirky to stay. Read my full hotel review to see if this is where you want to rooftop retreat to!

Rooftop review roundup: Walking out onto Jumeirah Sunset Lounge feels like stepping into a rooftop of pure sophistication and style, with some of the most stunning sea views in Soller – especially at sunset (clue’s in the name!). This is very much a treat venue with a price tag to match! But a glass of fancy fizz is well worth it for those breathtaking views and golden hour glow.

It is one of the few in Port de Soller that suits a more friendly budget while still delivering for sunset seekers. I found it was a mix of locals and tourists in a relaxed, informal setting, making it a great option if you want laid-back vibes without sacrificing the view.
