A Fishy New London Rooftop Bar and Restaurant

Just as we thought the rooftop season was over… up pops an incredible new rooftop bar and restaurant to steal our hearts. Welcome to the party Seabird! Featuring a fish menu and boasting the largest oyster bar in London – I had high hopes!

Views of the Shard from Seabird

Situated just south of the river in Southwark on top of the newly opened The Hoxton Hotel – it even has a dedicated lift so you really can’t get lost getting to the top! On entry the staff are warm and welcoming and its has a cosy yet summer feel inside.

Heading out to the rooftop its little windy to say the least. Clearly there’s some teething problems: the heaters aren’t brilliant, blankets were few & if it batters with rain then even as a smokers escape it’s not ideal. BUT on a clear sunny day, this rooftop is magnificent. Wow views of the shard and the Boomerang building set in a palm tree oasis transporting you to somewhere tropical.

And if the weather isn’t playing ball then like many rooftops you can still enjoy the views from the indoor bars and restaurant.

You’ll find two bars to choose from, including a fantastic raw fish bar where you can sip on champagne and peruse the largest oyster menu in London. Not a bad option when the weather takes a turn!

Reservations aren’t available for outdoor seating, but you can secure a booking for indoor dining. If you’re craving fabulous seafood and longing for a nostalgic throwback to summer days and palm tree-lined paths, then make your way down (or up!) to this spot
