Known as ‘sunny’ Hvar for having the most sunny days in Croatia. This island was literally made for rooftop bars and restaurants. It’s the perfect paradise for sipping drinks with ocean views. Or maybe it is being lost in the Croatian rusty rooftop restaurants far above the hustle below for a beautiful setting for your romantic evening. Here you will find the best rooftop bars and restaurants in Hvar Town.

Rooftop review roundup: This is a slice of rooftop restaurant heaven. Set above the rest of their restaurant this small space with just a few covers. It was an intimate, stunning setting with fantastic service. Sadly we couldn’t stay for dinner (so cant comment on the food) as out of time. But whilst not a bar we could stay for a drink and soak in the being high up in the sky! I was also impressed that all their wine is produced just a stone thrown away. They even pointed out the vineyards you could see from the rooftop! Make this a must if you need dinner plans!

Rooftop review roundup: When a rooftop restaurant has a red carpet, I knew it was the right choice for my birthday lunch! As it was peak summer it was also very hot but thankfully they have lots of shady areas. It was also pretty quiet also due to the heat. One that would be amazing at sunset. The service was some of the best I have had in Croatia. Informative, kind and thoughtful. The food matched the service. Still didn’t beat the squid I had in Brisbane earlier this year but not bad!! And of course, the sea view setting. Just sensational.

Rooftop review roundup: This little gem of a rooftop bar in Hvar town is a hidden treasure. I struggled to find anything online about it (as I like to contact to confirm opening times). Because of this its not packed. You can actually enjoy the space. A huge terrace where half the space is empty – probably if it was busy people would spill out on to. Bright vibrant sofas and stools to perch and watch the world below. A great rooftop bar.

Rooftop review roundup: OK I am stretching it calling this a rooftop bar. BUT if the remit is to feel fabulous up on high, with a stunning view then this fits! It sort of has a roof too which means it technically isn’t BUT its Hvar! Anything goes. I include it just because it was stunning, with comfy sofas – perfect for a wine and all the photos. (As I hadn’t really classed it as a rooftop bar at the time, most of the pics are of me twirling as I match the décor!) But for a more refined rose that Hula Hula beach club then this is your spot!
